Moment of Terror
Someone wise once said Anaesthesist's work is hour of boredom with moments of TERROR...
I had my moment today...
A 11 y.o. girld with perforated appendisitis. Pt. went into Broncho spasm immediately post intubation. Can't ventilate at all.
To make matter worst, she's laryngoscopy grade III, so I actually intubated without visuallising the vocal cord...
Luckily pt. become better after deepen with Servoflurane and IV Hydrocort. Nebulised pt twice on the table.
Post op recovery was uneventful. Thank God.
