Rib # with pneumothorax in GP clinic
I have a 14y.o. with h/o fall 2/7 ago while break-dancing presented to a GP clinic with increase SOB, pain over left chest.
O/E, Alert, pink. Tachypnoea+, Tender over Left upper chest and limited left shoulder movements. A/E still equal. BP 130/80mmHg. PR 88bpm.
I explained to pt & parties, written a referal & actually called A&E S/T the MA i.c., however the pt left with family to GH themselves.
What would you guys do? Ask them to wait for ambulance or let them go by themselves?
